General Information
Alley Pond Park lies at the eastern edge of Queens close to (or at ?) the border between NYC and Nassau County (Long Island). It's bounded on the east side by Cross Island Parkway. The Long Island Expressway (L.I.E., I-495) divides the main wooded section from the marshier areas to the north where it runs into Little Neck Bay. The Grand Central Parkway runs along the southern boundary of the park (some ball fields are south of the Grand Central) and Northern Boulevard (25) runs across the north end of the park. It's a fairly large park, the second largest in Queens,
